Hey There!
I'm Sharon L. Tasman, founder and partner of HTBiz Law.
I've been in the legal game for over 30 years now, and what a ride it's been! I cut my teeth at Hogan Lovells, one of the big dogs in the legal world, for 15 years. Then I switched gears and went in-house at MedImmune, AstraZeneca's global biologics arm. That's where I really got to see things from the client's perspective.
In 2013, I decided to take the plunge and start HTBiz Law. Why? Because I wanted to give clients of all sizes the chance to get that "big law" experience, but with the personal touch of a boutique firm. It's like having your cake and eating it too!
What I Do:
I'm all about helping businesses thrive, whether you're a scrappy startup or a multinational corporation.
My areas of focus? I'm glad you asked:
- Tech and IP development
- Consulting and business services agreements
- Life sciences counseling and transactions
I've negotiated some pretty hefty contracts in my time - we're talking deals worth over $200 million! But don't worry, I'm just as comfortable helping smaller businesses get off the ground.
Why I Do It
As a woman entrepreneur over 40, I've got a soft spot for helping other women and BIPOC folks start and grow their businesses. I've been there, done that, and got the t-shirt. Trust me, I know the obstacles you're facing, and I'm here to help you overcome them- LEGALLY.
